No Tuesday's With Dorie Butterscotch Pudding AND A GIVEAWAY!!!

Sorry to the TWD bakers, especially Donna from Spatulas, Corkscrews & Suitcases, as I didn't do her pick for Butterscotch Pudding this week!  Everything just seems a bit crazy (as I'm sure for everyone) with the holidays, um--HERE!!!  Donna has a great blog with some darn good looking food, go see it and her pudding as well as what the other bakers have done with the pudding.  I'm sure they will all be yummy!  (Kevin hates butterscotch, so that was also a reason I just didn't try to get it done.)  I'll for sure be making next week's pick for Tall and Creamy Cheesecake!

Aside from that, I'm finally getting to my first GIVEAWAY!  I totally meant to do something when I got to 100 posts on my blog and missed it by a long shot, so here's to post number 146!  Really, I've just been wanting to have a giveaway because I sure think it's fun when other bloggers do it and I wanted to show my thanks for all ya'll visiting my blog.  I decided to have a few things that I think are essentials in my kitchen that I couldn't live without, and though I LOVE my Kitchen Aid mixer, you'll have to go to Pioneer Woman for that!  ; )

So one lucky winner will be chosen to receive these two things----first of all, a digital kitchen scale.  I LOVE it.  I use it for just about everything, from portion control to quick measurements of ingredients when I'm baking.  There are many available out there, but here's one like the one I use, ready and waiting to be shipped to it's new owner.

AND, because one of my nicer plastic cutting boards  just broke and I went to buy some new ones, I grabbed an extra set of these flexible cutting mats to go with the scale.

DSCF0587

I almost feel like you can't have too many cutting boards, ya know.  So there you have it.  Leave me a comment telling me your middle name and one lucky winner will be selected to win the scale and mats.  Why the middle name?  I don't know, just because.  I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours!  ; )  I'll go first, you ready for this?  My middle name is----Katrina.  Huh?  Okay, I go by my middle name.  Always have.  My parents named me Mary Katrina and always intended to call me Katrina, they just thought Mary Katrina sounded better than Katrina Mary and well, it does.  Good choice, Mom and Dad! (Mary is a name of three of my grandmothers.)

Leave me a quick comment and make sure I have a way to contact you and I'll pick a winner this Saturday, December 27!  Deadline is midnight, Friday, December 26 CST.

Hope you all have great holidays!

Oh, and speaking of Moms----HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMY!  Hope you have  a great day!  Take care.  I love you!

Oy. You had to ask? My middle name is Ruth. Shhhh ... don't tell. I was named after my dad's grandmother. Her name was Rose. What possessed them to change it to Ruth, I'll never know!

My middle name is Lynn. I think almost half the girls born in my year have the same middle name.

Btw, I live in Canada, but have a US mailing address!!

I've never told anyone this before... but Megan is my middle name. I've gone by my middle name since I was about 2 years old. It can be confusing in doctors' offices, and schools, but I'm used to it!

Mine's Elizabeth. But I've sort of dropped it to keep my maiden name. Four names seem like a lot. But then I gave my daughter the same middle name, so now I want it back. Sort of.

So sorry you didn't get to make the pudding. I waited all year to get my turn and then it had to happen two days before Christmas! Bad timing for everyone I guess!

Anyway...my middle name is Jean. Don't use it though. I never did like it with the Donna Jean thing!
PLEASE enter me in your giveaway! I need a scale. No, not for me, for my desserts!

Have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for the giveaway, Katrina! My middle name is Christina, after my great-aunt.

My parents name me Liliana Vittoria (quite a mouthful) and decided to stick with Liliana as a first name.

I would have preferred Vittoria instead.

My middle name is JoAnn. But it's misspelled on my birth certificate as Joan. Oh, and my first name and last names growing up all began with a J, leading math teachers (and their quirky senses of humor to call me J cubed)

My middle name is Elaine, and I highly recommend you make that pudding sooner rather than later. It's amazing!

"Jo" which use to cause me a lot of grief in school. You know how teachers would sit you alphabetically - the boy that sat next to me would always add"Joe" to my papers as they would be handed down the line to the end of the row!

My middle name is Marie. Shayna Marie. That doesn't sound very unique, but that is what it is! Haha! Merry Christmas!

My Middle name is Jumoke (ja mo kay) and it is african it means everyonme loves this child. My first name is english so my names show my heritage.

I have a pretty standard middle name...Elizabeth. My parents just liked the way it sounded with Claire. However, several of my cousins also have that as their middle name, too. Guess you could consider it a "family" name! ;-)

My mom goes by her middle name and has much grief over it. Even after changing it when she got married certain places STILL won't let her use it on documents! Thus, I will NOT be calling my children by their middle names.

My middle name is Ann. It's the same one that approximately 1/3 of the people from my generation have.

Middle name is Charles. It's the reason that my mom called be Charlie my whole life. It's also the reason my younger cousin has always been called Charlie by his mother, and he has no Charlie or Charles in his name. I've never had a kitchen scale but always meant to get one! *Crosses Fingers*

Wonderful give-aways. I do not have a middle name. I use my maiden name as my middle name which is Rangel. I feel so left out :-(

I've never left a comment on your blog, but if your giving stuff away why not. My middle name is Bennett, I took my maiden name as a middle name because I didn't have one growing up. Anyway we miss you guys but hope to see you at Walmart soon.

My middle name is Bay, my mother's maiden name. It was Ann when I was born, but my maternal grandfather sort of complained that it should have been Bay. It was changed when I became a citizen.
Merry Christmas!

I would love to win your giveaway.
