Raspberry Pecan Shortbread Bars--adapted from Baking Bites

I made these last week and served them at a baby shower.  They were great and so easy to make!  You can find the recipe here.  Nicole made hers with strawberry jam and I used raspberry preserves.  The only other thing I did different was added a few chopped pecans to the top after they only had about ten minutes baking time left.  They are light and buttery and the perfect crispness and sweetness.  Oh, and they aren't low fat at all.  So--I'm glad they are all gone.   YUMMY!

I am so bummed I forgot about the shower. I brought Ellen her gift at church, but I still felt so bad. I am now really jealous of everyone that went to the shower... Raspberry Pecan Bars and Peanut Butter kiss cookies? Man, I missed out.

You allways bake things that I would like to eat! Good luck with the ganache, I'm sure you'll do great! Let me know. Hope the little one is recovered!
