Happy Birthday, Sam! (Trippin’ down memory lane!)

IMG_3080

My sweet baby, Sam, turned six on Saturday!  Hard to believe, because I am certain he was JUST this big yesterday!

Sam's first day of kindergarten

And now, just like that, he’s six.  What next, sixteen?  sigh

We had a fun day today with an Easter themed birthday party that Sam decided on himself.

I made him a yellow confetti cake with chocolate frosting.  Then it had bunny Peeps all around it and green frosting on top with some eggs.  Yes, I know, the cake wasn’t perfectly flat on top.  I liked to say that it was a rolling hill. ;)

Sam had some school friends over and we played lots of egg-themed games.  Probably everyone’s favorite was the pinata and the Easter egg hunt.

But how cute is this bunny Sam made himself and they played pin-the-nose-on-the-bunny.

Sam had a great day!  They all had A LOT of candy, decorated Easter egg sugar cookies, ate cake and Peeps and I have to say, I am not looking forward to Easter actually being here in two weeks and doing all that candy again.  I feel like I just took care of that.  I say we just focus Easter on the true meaning, our Savior, Jesus Christ!

What a sweet little guy--he looks like a charmer! My baby is 25, he has one dimple--everytime he smiles my heart melts. He probably got away with too much because of that smile!! That and he was #6 and I was tired!
Love the cake and all the fun party games. What a lucky little guy to have you for a Mom!

Oh my gosh how did he get to be six?!? That doesn't seem possible - but then again, Sabrina will be sixteen in June......

You did an amazing job with the cake, it's too cute!!

So glad I stopped by today. I can't believe how big Sam is. It was fun to see the photo roundup of the past six years. I love the cake and I'm sure that Sam and his friends did too.

Katrina, Sam is such a cutie! I loved seeing all the photos of him through the years - wow, he was a happy baby and now he's a big, happy boy. Adorable! And the party looked fantastic - exactly what a six year old would want. You did a fantastic job with the cake. I didn't even notice the slightly sloping hill on the top of your cake ;)

Happy 6th birthday to Sam! 🎉 He looks like he had such an amazing day with all the games, treats, and fun Easter-themed activities. That rolling hill cake sounds adorable and perfectly festive!

Adding a custom birthday neon signs would make the party even more magical and give a fun, colorful backdrop for photos with Sam and his friends.

Happy 6th birthday to Sam! Wow, what a sweet trip down memory lane—it’s amazing to see how much he’s grown over the years. I love all the little moments you shared, from his first days as a baby to starting kindergarten. The Easter-themed birthday sounds absolutely adorable, and that yellow confetti “rolling hill” cake with bunny Peeps is such a fun and creative idea!

The games sound like so much fun too—pin-the-nose-on-the-bunny and an Easter egg hunt are perfect for a lively kids’ party.

If you’re thinking about decorating, birthday neon signs would be an awesome addition. They’d add a bright, festive vibe to the party and make the celebration feel even more special for Sam and his friends.

What a wonderful way to celebrate such a big milestone!
