White Chocolate and Lime Popcorn with White Chocolate M&Ms

White Chocolate and Lime Popcorn with White Chocolate M&Ms

I know, this just looks like a bowl of popcorn with some pastel colored M&M’s in it.  But there is a little added twist of deliciousness.

The popcorn is from Orville Redenbacher.  It’ is one of their Natural microwave popcorns that is Lime & Salt flavor.  I love it.  Not sure I’ll ever be able to eat popcorn without lime flavor in it again. ;)

After also recently finding White Chocolate M&M’s, I started thinking about how good white chocolate and lime would be together.

White Chocolate M&Ms

So this is actually not really a recipe, but an idea I carried out.  Try it—I thought I’d just have a few bites and let the kids eat  the rest.  And I ended up eating the whole thing!  Shhh.  No, those microwaveable bags of popcorn are the smaller individual sizes.

I popped a bag of the delicious lime and salt popcorn and melted around 2 ounces of white chocolate (Lindt is the best!).  I pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and stirred it to coat all of it evenly.  I then put it in the fridge to harden up for a few minutes.  Although it was just fine and tasted great still “wet”!  Then for kicks, I sprinkled some of the White Chocolate M&M’s in with the popcorn.  Those M&M’s are good, white chocolate is actually not my preferred kind of chocolate (dark, Baby!), but now and then it’s a fun little sweet treat.

White Chocolate and Lime are a match made in heaven!

I know what you mean. I got used to eating popcorn sprinkled with lime juice when I was in Brazil and I'll never eat popcorn without it if I can help it.

I hadn't actually seen that Lime popcorn but I'll have to try it. I love your idea of adding white chocolate but I think after adding the white drizzle, I'd use regular or dark M&Ms for some contrast. Love the cute Easter colors!!

honestly it is one of those things that sounds weird, like bacon and chocolate, but that just means it probably tastes amazing! And we don't have white chocolate M&M's here, which is probably good, a few less calories for me.

Popcorn and lime sounds delicious to me. Probably because I already love those lime tortilla chips. I love how creative and colorful this is - just perfect for Easter snacking.

Nom nom nom. I already love lim-flavored chips, so I think I'm destined to become addicted to this lime popcorn. Best not to fight it.

Interesting idea, to use the lime popcorn. It's not a combination I would ever have thought of! Great post!

I've been following your blog for some time now. You always crack me up! I love your sense of humor...I usually stick to dark chocolate too but I don't hate white chocolate. As a matter of fact that is the smell of Easter for me. White chocolate and milk chocolate bunnies...lol not peaks :p like most ppl can't stand those. I love your idea I hope I get to try it one day..it looks like a good addition to a trail mix too.

I love the popcorn because even if I store it for quite some time, it's still crunchy and delicious. Truth is, I want to buy popcorn machines for sale and create my own popcorn as delicious as this brand.
